Merry Christmas! I hope everyone enjoyed Christmas with family and friends as much as our family did. We are so blessed to have our families, friends and eachother. Ashton enjoyed Christmas time so much. Ray and I are so blessed and thankful to have our beautiful, healthy baby!

In case you were wondering, this is body wash...not shampoo, and I washed my hair with this smelly good BODY WASH for about a week. I found out it was BODY WASH when Raymond asked me if I could buy some more shampoo next time I went to the store. I of course said "I just bought a bottle of mango shampoo last week, it smells so good!" He said," that is body wash, and you are dumb." He didnt say that but his face said it all.

If you saw me and my hair was a little extra greasy, I hope you will take back your thoughts on how bad it looked and I guess judge me now on how I can't read a bottle correctly. I don't blame you-I'm over it though, done and done.

Life is pretty simple right now, here are some quick updates:

1. We lost and found Phoebe. Saddest night of my life and next day happiest day of my life- it trumped my wedding day (being a little dramatic)

2. Ashton is rockin on his knees. Crawling? Nah. But he is rockin away. I need to show him that he has arms.

3. I painted my dining room table vintage sapphire blue. I will post pics later!

4. I made 4 cutesy girl burp rags and I have a boy.

California Girls? Really Ash?

Been awhile but I am back....for now. As a lot of people know, Raymond is the singer in the family, and he is pretty good at it too! I am NOT a singer....I LOVE to sing but only when I am in the car with friends/alone etc. And now, when I am putting Ashton to sleep....We have a little bed time routine that we do everynight for Ash which includes lotion, putting pajamas on, reading a book then rocking for a bit. NOW, Ashton requires that I sing him to sleep. I have been doing this for awhile and I usually sing a variety of songs, mainly church/worship songs but I think he is getting bored bc he hasnt been falling asleep as fast. SOO tonight, I sang every song in the song book (not really), a little Michael Buble, Sarah Barreiles, and then....Katy Perry's California Girls song in a much softer tone than it is and....he fell asleep. I don't know why I did it and am not proud of this but it just came out. I do not necessarily like that song but bc of the radio, I know pretty much every word. I really hope he doesnt require me to sing that song again but if it will get him to sleep at his 7:30 bedtime, I'll do it (he will probably wake up in the middle of the night screaming when he remembers that his MOM sang him the popsicle part of the song...in my defense, I sang it so quiet it was basically not even said). I was singing California girls/praying that Raymond wouldn't come home from work early and witness my slow, quiet, bedtime version of the song. Maybe next time I will add the Snoop Dog (Dog or Dogg? or Snoop Doggie Dog? Whatever...) rap in...apparently Ash is in to that.

He's a week away from being 7 months old and he's cute...maybe I'm bias but OH he's cute. He weighed 17.10 and was 28 inches long at his 6 month checkup and has 2 teeth! He rolls over both ways and sits up like a champ. We started him on actual baby food at 6 months and his favorite is green beans! We haven't started fruit yet so that might change but as of now green beans are the thing! I am POSITIVE he said 'mama' but I was alone with him so no one believes me! haha! Baby news and weddings!

Ashton just turned 23 weeks old this past Sunday....I seriously cannot believe it. I am happy and sad. Happy because he is so much fun and I love watching him grow and change into this wonderful little person---sad because he is growing so so fast, too fast and I want him to stay my precious little baby (of course he always will though)!!!

I am not exactly sure of his weight right now but at his 4 month check up he weighed 15.11 lbs so I am positive he has doubled that by now....haha ok not quite doubled it but def. has grown! I am not weighing him myself and am just going to wait until his 6 month checkup which is pretty soon so Raymond and I can have our "guess the baby weight game". Lame I know, but I have won everytime :-) Here is a brief Ashton news update:

-He is still sleeping through the night, about 8 to 6 ish (PLEASE LAST BC IT IS SO GREAT). It was the craziest thing bc he went from barely sleeping at all, and then once he hit 7 weeks old he slept all night. We think he is giving us a break for not sleeping at all for 6 weeks, haha!

-He has rolled over a few times but doesnt seem to enjoy it that much. The first time completely freaked him out I think!

-He doesnt love being on his stomach but does it ok. He moves his hands like he is swimming when he is on his tummy, haha!

- He HATES rice cereal!!! He acts like it is just the worst thing in the entire world!!! Since he is sleeping all night I am going to re-introduce it at 6 months and be consistant with it, haha! He sure does love his milk duds though (that is what we call his bottles).

- He is finally pretty set on a nap schedule which has been nice because I can initiate the naps before he gets too upset-he has been napping about an hour and a half after he wakes up, noon, 3, and 5....those are all ishes but the naps are always right around those times and are never very long but that is ok as long as he gets his rest!

-I could go on and on and on about my precious baby but will stop for now!!!

This Saturday is my sister's wedding. I am so excited for her and Brody and love them both so much!! Ashton is very excited too because he gets to wear a suit with a bow tie! Here is my little man looking so very handsome in his new wedding suit.

Bad guesser

Ugh. I do not fit into Katy's bridesmaid dress that I ordered when I was pregnant. I had to guess what size I would be by May 29th and apparently I thought that I have super turbo body and it would just bounce right on back to my normal size. WRONG, I am the worst guesser ever BUT in my defense, I think my ribs have spread apart and it might not be just a losing weight solution. Uh Oh. However, I am not going to give up and I will continue to let Jillian Michaels (workout dvd) kick my booty....bc she has been. A bright side to working out, Ashton thinks it is hilarious when I do the workouts and seriously laughs so hard at some of the moves. Either he likes all the movement or I really look ridiculous--probably both. I usually workout during his late afternoon nap but sometimes I gotta entertain my baby, or he just wont take a nap. But who cares about naps when you get to see this beautiful cutesy smile!!

WHOA! I just saw that it has been like 5 weeks since my last entry. I really went into blogging with good intentions, updating all the time etc. Epic fail. The times that I remember to update and actually have time to do it is during my breaks at school but my school computer has blogging blocked on the school computers. Come on OKC public schools! I only would blog during breaks not during instruction time!! HOWEVER, I still can read blogs-which I do :-)

Now onto Ashton world:

HE WILL BE 4 MONTHS IN LESS THAN 2 WEEKS!!! I really cannot believe how fast time is flying by. I know everyone says that but seriously. Daddy (Raymond) has him watching ESPN all the time thinking that it will make him just as huge a sports fan as he is...I am positive he will be. We are also sure he will go pro in baseball, football and soccer. We bought his precious Easter outfit the other day and his Easter basket. It is the cutest elephant basket!!! Ray thinks it is kind of girly-I said whatever to that bc it is adorable.

So, Ashton loves being on his tummy. Today he was scooting up on his knees and squealing SOOO loud because he was trying so hard to move or do something! His squeals were not cries, they were just noises. He was trying so hard and had us cracking up! He would squeal and push for a little bit then just lay flat and rest, then do it all over again, haha! He is so much fun!

ONLY 39 MORE DAYS OF SCHOOL! You better believe I am counting down! Here are some 3 month pictures of Ashton. He is getting so big. At his 2 month checkup he weighed 12.15 and was 24 inches long so I am so anxious to see how much he has gained at his 4 month checkup!

5 weeks!

My baby is 5 weeks old and I cannot believe it!!!! I am getting in a great routine with him and loving every bit of being a mom! However, some breaks now and then are nice! My wonderful husband sent me to do some shopping, get a pedicure, and get my eyebrows waxed (probably bc he was tired of looking at my man feet and eyebrows). I didnt care what his reasoning was I was just so excited! I missed my baby during my outing but it was still very nice. While I was gone though I discovered a new pet peeve of mine....At the salon while I am getting a pedicure I tell the lady that I want my eyebrows waxed as well. Her next question is "just your eyebrows, not your lip?" I say "no, just my eyebrows" and she says "are you sure?" AHHH! I do not have a mustache chinese lady but thanks for making me check when I get home anyway! Whatever though, a day out is a day out and I loved it. I will end this post with some pics of my precious Ashton....He has grown so much!

Hello!!! So, it has been 3 weeks and 5 days since my little man was born. He is almost 1 month old (tear). He has gotten SO big, I can't even believe it!! We are having lots of fun staying at home-even though I am maybe the most tired I have ever been in my entire life, I am loving every minute! I do NOT want to go back to work :-( UGH I am seriously dreading it. I love my kids at school and semi miss them but I don't want to leave Ashton. Raymond is able to take leave until my school year is over (LUCKY). SO he gets lots of father- son bonding time! I am sorry for boring posts but I do not leave my house so my life is pretty baby focused, which is way exciting for me but maybe not for any readers! He sleeps, eats, poops, looks around and then does it all over again. Raymond cannot believe how a person that small can poop that much haha! Anyway, Courtney Waugh is taking his first baby pictures this Tuesday so I will share those with the world asap!
